How to create AI product ads that look native to the feed
A practical workflow for turning one product photo into a vertical video ad: the photo, the script, the motion and the music - and what to check before you publish.

Start from the product, not the model
The fastest route to a usable ad is one good product photo or your product page link. The photo anchors the likeness: an ad built from your real product reads as your product, while one generated from a description is a new picture of something similar.
Shoot or pick a photo with the product fully in frame, sharp, on a plain background. Avoid heavy shadows across the label; the ad photo is built around what the camera can see.
Pick a style that matches the platform
Feeds reward ads that look like the content around them. A clean studio showcase suits retargeting and catalogue placements. A creator-style shot, with someone holding the product, suits TikTok and Reels where polished ads get scrolled past. An unboxing scene works for first-look launches and gift products.
All three render vertical 9:16, the native format for TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts, so one ad covers all three feeds.
Let the script do the selling
The first second has to show the product and the problem it solves. Keep the script to three beats: the hook, the one benefit that matters, and the call to action. In Zappy the script is written for you for free, so you can iterate on words before you spend a credit on pixels.
Build in stages and check each one
An ad is a chain: the ad photo, then motion, then music. Building stage by stage lets you stop the moment something is off, and every stage lands in your library so nothing is lost. Each stage is priced before it runs.
Before you publish, watch it once on a phone with the sound off. If the product is not recognisable in the first frame, rebuild the photo rather than the motion.
