Real estate listing videos from photos: an honest guide
How to turn listing photos into short walkthrough-style teasers, which photos work best, and how to keep generated video fair to the property.

Why listings need motion
Social feeds favour video, and a listing with motion stops the scroll where a photo carousel does not. A short teaser from your best photo is often enough to earn the click to the full listing.
Which photos work
Wide, bright, level photos work best: a living room from a corner, a kitchen from the doorway, the front of the house straight on. Avoid fisheye distortion and tilted verticals; the camera move exaggerates both.
The move
A slow, stable dolly forward is the reliable choice. It feels like walking into the room and keeps verticals straight. Fast pans and spins look impressive for one second and cheap after that.
Keep it fair to the property
A generated clip is a teaser, not a survey. Check every clip against the real room before you publish: no added windows, no changed materials, no extra space. If anything drifted, discard the clip and try again from a different photo. Zappy makes short clips from single photos; a stitched multi-room virtual tour is not a feature today.
