FAQ

Does trimming reduce the quality?

No. By default we copy the original video stream rather than re-encoding it, so what you get back is bit-for-bit the same picture as the part you kept. Switch on the frame-exact option only if you need the cut to land on an precise frame - that one does re-encode.

Is my video uploaded to your server?

No. The trimming runs inside your browser using WebAssembly. The file is read from your disk into the page and never transmitted, which is also why it works on a slow connection and why there is no file-size fee.

Is there a watermark or a sign-up?

Neither. This tool is free and unlimited, and you do not need a Zappy account to use it.
